How we ask for your phone number, what we send, and how to stop. Drilld is operated by GEK AB.

Who sends these messages

Drilld (drilld.co) is a platform where athletes find training partners and book sessions with instructors. The service is operated by GEK AB. A phone number is optional. You can create an account, browse, follow coaches and use Drilld without giving us a number. WHAT WE SEND 1. A one-time code when you verify your phone number. 2. Confirmations and reminders for sessions and courses you have booked. We never send marketing messages. There is no promotional list and no recurring campaign. Messages are only sent in response to something you did: a verification you started, or a booking you made.

How you opt in

Consent is given inside your own account. Nobody is added to SMS by default.

    You enter your number

    In your account settings, under Personal details, you type your mobile number yourself. The field explains what the number is used for.

    You verify it with a code

    We text a one-time code to that number. Entering the code confirms the number is yours and completes the opt-in.

    You stay in control

    Booking SMS can be turned off in your notification settings at any time, or you can reply STOP to any message.

WHERE THE NUMBER IS ENTERED

The user types the number, in their own account

Account settings, Personal details, Mobile number. The field is empty until the user fills it in, and the helper text next to it states that the number is used for verification codes and for booking confirmations and reminders. Leaving the field empty is a valid state. The account works without a phone number.

HOW TO STOP

One toggle, or reply STOP

Account settings, Notifications, SMS. Turning off "Booking SMS" stops confirmations and reminders. The subtext under the toggle shows which number they are sent to. Replying STOP to any message from Drilld also ends them. Reply HELP for help. Verification codes are sent only when a verification is started by the user, so there is nothing recurring to unsubscribe from.
